Why are the Polaroid sunglasses better than ordinary sunglasses?

Firstly “Polaroid” is a brand name and “Polarized/Polarised” is the product name that come from different brands like Oakley, rayban, maui jim, “polaroid” etc. Hope you got the difference between Polaroid and Polarized.

Now Something about visible light relevant to this context. There can be two types of light in layman's term
1.       Which helps you see the things properly.
2.      Which disturbs you from seeing the things properly.
Now the difference between normal and polarized sunglasses:
Normal sunglasses simply darkens. That means it does care about the helpful and disturbing lights and simply reduces the amount of both the light through it. While polarized sunglasses, normally, blocks the disturbing light almost completely. That means you won’t notice much of darkening effect but you won’t see the reflecting/shining glares from various surfaces like car bonnets water surfaces etc.
So polarized sunglasses will provide you with very comfortable, and clearer vision compared to normal sunglasses in normal everyday conditions. But when you go to the places like glaciers polarized sunglasses dont help much because there it gets confused which light is helping and which light is disturbing. So, it is the condition that makes one more comfortable and other less. But daily life condition you will find polarized sunglasses very helpful.
Suggestion: To understand the difference practically. Look for a place where sunlight is reflecting through the shiny floor. Keep the polarized sunglass vertically and look through it, it will look like normal sunglasses. Now rotate it and keep horizontally and look through. You will find that the reflection is instantly eliminated, that is polarization effect. It’s awesome.
