What's the right temperature to wear opaque stockings?

The best temperature to wear opaque stockings would ideally be around 10 - 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The reason for this is because opaque stockings tend to be non-see through, thicker and warmer due to the fact that they have a higher denier. Therefore it’s more appropriate to wear opaque hosiery during the colder time of the year. Take a look at this hosiery index for temperatures between 10 - 50F degrees:

Conversely, for warmer temperature, it’s better to wear stockings that are sheer and thinner.

Note: Denier is the unit of measure for hosiery. The smaller the number, the thinner a pair of hose tends to be. The larger the number, the thicker a pair of hose tends to be.

Why do so many people fail at dressing well?

For a very large percentage of the population, fashion is the enemy. Clothing for women is made primarily for pre-pubescent or starved bodies. When one is a not-10 year old female one develops inconsistent and inconvenient curves and bumps. Clothing designers do not like those curves and bumps and they make SURE you know it. How dare we have hips? Hips are ugly! Breasts should remain a decent 30" no more, so that pre-filled bras make sense. Forget waists. Clothing designers have absolutely no idea what a waist is - why should they, they've never needed to. I go to the store to buy clothes and my choices are to dress like a tween prostitute, a heroin addict or an old lady. Where do I find the place that will dress my completely, utterly female body in a natty suit?
