What's the right temperature to wear opaque stockings?
The best temperature to wear opaque stockings would ideally be around 10
- 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The reason for this is because opaque stockings tend
to be non-see through, thicker and warmer due to the fact that they have a
higher denier. Therefore it’s more appropriate to wear opaque hosiery during
the colder time of the year. Take a look at this hosiery index for temperatures
between 10 - 50F degrees:
Conversely, for warmer temperature, it’s better to wear
stockings that are sheer and thinner.
Note: Denier is the unit of measure for hosiery. The smaller the
number, the thinner a pair of hose tends to be. The larger the number, the
thicker a pair of hose tends to be.
