How do you make sunglasses look so cool?

Many sunglasses are meant to fit most faces such as the aviator or original wayfarer styles, but some face shapes just don’t look right with certain styles. For example, someone with a wide face won’t look that cool in sunglasses that are small such as wraparounds or anything under the 58mm (estimate) range. At the same time small thin faces don’t look that cool when they wear 60mm+ and round lenses.

In the opposite wide faces would look good with something more square or rectangular and wide lenses and small faces would look cool with round or oval.

As for the color of the frame and lenses, there are many styles, most popular are wire (metal, titanium, etc.) and “plastic”. Both kinds of frames come with a variety of styles such as aviators (tear drop, round, rectangular, square, etc.) The color of the frames usually don’t vary as much as the lens colors. Wire frames are typically gold, silver, gunmetal, but can have any type of color although those 3 are the most common. They also come in different “textures” from shiny or more of a brushed metal feel.

The plastic frames can come in a much more wider variety of colors. For instance Oakleys can be bought in all colors imaginable even 2-tone frame which have 2 colors usually on the top and bottom. An example would be the Oakley Jawbreakers, which first stood out to me years ago because they came in single colors and 2-tones. Couple I saw had black on top and clear on the bottom and they even had colors like yellow on the top and green on the bottom.

Plastic frames are most commonly bought in “polished” or matte.

As for lens, it used to be mostly grey, brown, mirrored, or G-15 (green/greyish). In the past years the mirrored lens can come in red, blue, green, even rainbow. There are also solid lens and gradient lens which are darker on the top and lighter on the bottom. All these lens come in a wide variety of colors and shades.
